It's Not Too Late To Be The Proud Owner Of A Library Card!
With a Riverdale Library Card you don’t just have access to books, but free computer access, music and DVDs, audio books, and so much more! Below is everything you need to know to renew or get a new Riverdale Library Card.
GETTING A NEW LIBRARY CARD
In order to be issued a new library card, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have a valid driver’s license or ID that indicates you are a Riverdale Resident
- Provide proof of residency that is less than 60 days old. The following documents are all acceptable: utility bill or eBill, pay stubs, traffic ticket, government check, bank statement and vehicle registration.
- If your ID does not reflect Riverdale, you will need to provide 3 documents less than 60 days old to prove residency.
- If you are a child (ages 5-17) applying for a library card, a guardian must be present to sign off as the responsible party for that child and must provide the above documents.
GETTING AN EARLY LEARNER LIBRARY CARD
Children (ages 2-4) can apply for a Early Learner library card for in-house use only. A parent/guardian must be present to sign off as the responsible party and provide the above documents.
RENEWING A LIBRARY CARD
In order to renew your library card, you must update your account information with the following:
- Present your expired library card
- A valid driver’s license or ID that indicates you are still a Riverdale Resident
- Proof of residency that is less than 60 days old. The following documents are all acceptable: utility bill or eBill, pay stubs, traffic ticket, government check, bank statement and vehicle registration.
- Please Note: Renewing your library card is free as long as you have your expired card. A $5 fee will be incurred if we have to issue you a new library card.
